When driving through Namibia (and those who have done this will agree) it feels as though one is moving closer towards the end of the world. The landscapes become so surreal, arid, and vast that they make you feel minute with a sense of complete humility and admiration of nature’s powerful capabilities.

This picture was taken at the Bogenfels, located in the coastal Namib Desert within the restricted Diamond-Area.

A view from above (thanks to Google Earth) will give you a good idea of the lands’ steep drop off into the ocean.
