As promised in yesterday’s post, here is the picture of the colourful cooling towers (of the former Orlando Power Station) situated in Soweto. The tilt-shift effect only worked very limited here.
The cooling towers are situated between Pimville and Orlando West (the latter being the former home of Nelson & Winnie Mandela).

Taken in the heart of Soweto. I am also hoping to get a tilit-shift pic ready of the colourful Soweto cooling towers.

I took this picture whilst on a site visit at Coega Harbour. Have a look at the conrete anchors in the background, and their relation in size to the large construction vehicle driving past. These anchors are produced on site, and there are hundreds and hundres of rows of them lined up.
