Trying out the new Canon G11 at the beautiful coastal town of Paternoster – impressive machine!

I love taking pictures of cows – no idea why – but perhaps my excitement for having seen cows chill on the beach in the Transkei will be an everlasting memory.

You can imagine my surprise and excitement when a herd of cattle stormed onto the beach, whilst I was relaxing in the sun and sipping on a Pina Colda, with a clear mission to head towards the water.

Unlike the Transkei cows who just chill on the beaches, these Zanibari cows where drinking the sea water. Apparently they do this as there is not enough fresh water in the vicinity – a general problem on the island.
