Ross Solomons, talented writer, professional fish-hunter, and author of TheBassBoat, has taken my latest fishing story to the next level.

When it comes to fishing and hunting stories, they always organically evolve and become mythologised – it’s in the nature of how they are told and related in different settings.

So Ross has re-told the story of when I caught the Vundu (or maybe even the Nyaminyami), and has done a sterling job of it. I really like how he integrated the idea of the relation between the Vundu and the Nyaminyami, since we discussed this when I first told him the story.
