I’ve always wanted to travel on board a freighter and found this interesting post on “How to Travel by Cargo Ship”.
Just think: anywhere global commodities are shipped are places that you can disembark and spend time soaking up the local culture before re-boarding.
Anyone want to join me for this salt and steel adventure?

I took this picture whilst on a site visit at Coega Harbour. Have a look at the conrete anchors in the background, and their relation in size to the large construction vehicle driving past. These anchors are produced on site, and there are hundreds and hundres of rows of them lined up.

I took this picture in Hout Bay quite a while ago. You’ll most portably be able to take the exact picture if you go the the Hout Bay Harbour since the seagulls always sit on the wooden stumps next to the pier.
